The online Missouri Encyclopedia is a freely accessible, engaging, and authoritative resource for understanding the history and culture of Missouri. A project of the State Historical Society of Missouri and launched in conjunction with the Missouri 2021 Bicentennial, the Missouri Encyclopedia is intended for educators, students, and the general public.
The Encyclopedia seeks continuous expansion through new entries, and the public is invited to suggest topics for inclusion. Who are the people and what are the places and events that shaped your community, your county, and your region?
